Greetings:
As your newly elected Area 1 co-Presidents, we would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of you to our 2012-2013 school year. The purpose of this council is to support all of our local units and to provide you with the tools you need to better support your faculty, staff, parents, and most importantly your students.
Area 1 council is extremely passionate about empowering our local unit parents as they engage in their children’s success and education. Over the years, PTA has become one of the strongest voices in the educational process that directly supports our children and schools and this year we plan to continue the work. We have a great team of dedicated parents who were elected to serve on this year’s Executive Committee and we have been busy developing the details for an exciting and productive year. All of our emphasis are geared towards enhancing the educational goals of all of our students.
In order to be successful, we need to partner with all of our local units, as well as the business leaders in our community. We encourage each of you to reach out to us and we also encourage you to participate in all of the training sessions and events that we have planned throughout the year. We believe that our children are truly our future and feel that it is of the utmost importance that we continue empowering our parents so that they can provide the support to all of our children. We must all work together to ensure the success of our children.
We solicit your comments, ideas and suggestions regarding our efforts and appreciate your time and involvement. We appreciate you and are thankful for whatever level of participation you select.
